About The Role

Our Backend Engineer will design and deliver scalable backend services powering Ostro’s SaaS platform. You’ll build features used by both cutting-edge startups and major pharmaceutical companies, balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability. You’ll play a key role in shaping our engineering practices by ensuring reliable testing, clean architecture, and low technical debt — all while helping us move fast.

Overflow is hiring a Software Engineer to help execute the product roadmap for our Tap to Donate products. Your primary objective will be build end to end experiences that enable nonprofits to engage their donor bases with NFC tap disks and track their usage via the Tap Dashboard. You will be responsible for working and collaborating closely with other engineers, product and design leads, and cross-functional partners to ensure that your features are delivered on time and bug-free.

•Build beautiful donation and donation management experiences along with the APIs that power these experiences.

What You’ll Do:
•Define product vision and strategy based on an in-depth understanding of our users, business, and industry

•You have cross-functional leadership skills within a user-centered design process
•You have exceptional data analysis and deductive reasoning skills
•You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy detective-style problem-solving
•You are willing to look into datadog sessions, write SQL, use Cursor, or partner with engineers to investigate issues
